As we move along, we hope to familiarize you with our organization and it's policies and practices.

Your handbook will help you and I hope you have taken the time to print it out.  I encourage you to read and understand our goals so that, when you're out and about, you can help us to educate the public by explaining the need for breed rescues and just what we do...we'll touch more on that later as well, but since I promised I'd talk about who we are; let's talk a little more about the people behind the MAGDRL logo.

We'll start with an introduction to our New Jersey Coordinator and Team Leads.  You can check our Contact Page to place a face with a name on our NJ website, but here's a list of who's who in our chapter with a brief overview of what they do.  You can also click on their name if you wish to E-mail them.

NJ State Coordinator
MaryFran Cini
MaryFran oversees all aspects of NJ MAGDRL business.  She interacts with other Chapter Coordinators and represents NJ MAGDRL to the MAGDRL Board of Directors.  MaryFran also has final decision for approval of new volunteers, applicants and adoptions and danes coming in to NJ for rescue.

Together Melissa and Tori oversee the phone calls involved in the adoption process, making many of those calls themselves.  This includes initial phone interviews, vet and personal reference checks and the inclusion of this information on "formsite"

The amount of money we spend each year on our fosters is staggering, so the work Lisa and Debbie do for us is of paramount importance.

Foster Home Team Lead

Webmaster
Susan Broderick
Sue keeps her finger on the pulse of all NJ and records and documents it on the website.

Since you're already subscribed to our NJ MAGDRL Discussion Group, you know of the existence of our volunteer database....these people, like you, are the backbone of NJ MAGDRL.  Next time you're there, why not look on the database and see who lives in your area.

Now, on a broader scope, you can refer to your manual to see all the State Coordinators.  Each State is set up similarly to New Jersey.  Most likely, you won't have occasion to work with these folks directly unless you are involved in a multi-State transport, but it's nice to be able to place the name when you see them posting on the extended list.  (which I mentioned when I sent you the invitation to join our Yahoo discussion group)

Finally, let's meet the Board of Directors

And our who's who wouldn't be complete without an introduction to the Danes for whom we devote our time and energy.  This list of furry faces changes from day to day, but at this moment here's who we're working to help

Danes Available for Adoption

Unfortunately, we have more Danes in our care than foster homes, so we also have Danes in kennels.  If you are subscribed to the extended list, you can view them as well.

Danes in Kennels

So that wraps up the who's who of MAGDRL.  Now let's talk about where we're going and how you ocan help usget there..

Ok, let's go
